This policy explains how CEI Electrical Services ("CEI", "we", "us") collects and uses your personal information when you use this website. CEI is the data controller for the information you provide.

When you fill in our enquiry form, or contact us directly by phone or email, we collect the details you give us: your name, company, email address, phone number and your message. If you apply for a role with us we also collect the information in your application. Our hosting also keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure and running.
We use your details only to respond to your enquiry and to provide the services you ask about. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the providers that help us run the site and reply to you, currently our website host (Netlify), which processes form submissions on our behalf. They are required to keep your data secure and use it only on our instructions.
We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months from our last contact with you, then delete them. If you become a customer we keep the records we need for our contracts, accounts and legal obligations. Job applications are kept for up to 6 months after the role is filled, unless you ask us to keep your details on file for future openings.
This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may log your IP address as part of serving those fonts. If we add website analytics in future we will update this policy.
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To do any of these, email sales@ceielectrical.co.uk. If you are not happy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
